Great Diving Trip to Samran Pinnacles, April 2012.
Well, it came together at last & we made a diving trip to Samran Pinnacles yesterday. After some fun finding the pinnacles we enjoyed 2 leisurely dives with great conditions on a favourite dive site. It was a special day for the macro team too, with some fine nudibranch found & duly photographed; photos are up on facebook already! We then moved to a quiet Sail Rock with only 2 small dive boats left & had a nice, peaceful 3rd dive with good conditions. Who could ask for more? Our next special should be to the Marine Park v. soon… It’s nice to have a few of our friends...

Nice late summer conditions in the Gulf of Thailand; generally hot & sunny with a gentle, variable breeze & a late afternoon or evening thunderstorm when it’s been really scorching. Sail Rock is still consistently the best of our dive sites but we’ve had nice diving trips to Koh Tao too. Marine Park & local diving have been rather more variable but generally OK… At the start of this month Koh Phangan became a quieter island; Captain Dam even had a day off on the 5th!
