We’re planning to take a break from Sail Rock in the next few days and make a dive trip to Angthong Marine Park for a change of scenery. Koh Phangan is not so busy now, after the full moon party, and we have a few of our regular divers who have been to Sail Rock already. This trip means some great snorkelling too; please let us know if you want to come along. The dive centre team are fit and well, taking it slightly easy after a busy full moon period. From the photo you can see that the Gavin is back at the dive school, and working on the Padi courses after a successful Scuba...

A new scuba diving year is with us & it looks like the rainy season is over! We’ve had great diving trips to Sail Rock the last 2 days & the calm seas mean that the Marine Park & Koh Tao are back on the schedule. The diving school team are well & working hard; a lot of fun divers & Padi courses are keeping everyone reasonably busy. But we did manage to relax 2 nights ago when we had a barbecue (great work there Gavin) & a few beers at the dive centre, in honour of Chris, who’s been back once again to complete his Rescue Diver training & more; check...

And still the nice weather continues when it should be horrible. It’s a crazy situation when there are so few tourists here that we can only offer boat diving trips to Sail Rock, fabulous as it is. Dive sites like the Marine Park, Southwest Pinnacles & Koh Tao are just not possible because of a scarcity of scuba divers! But we’re not suffering too much; to make up for it we have been doing more scuba dives at a few of our favourite local dive sites, as we sometimes forget what Koh Phangan diving has to offer. The word is that our dive boat is now back in the water, &...

After a fairly hectic August it’s nice to relax a little as Chaloklum Village & the island quietens down. We’ve still been making regular diving trips to Sail Rock, where scuba dive conditions remain excellent & today we’ve gone to Koh Tao, diving & snorkelling at Shark Island & Laem Tian. The Marine Park hasn’t been special lately, which is a shame, but the vis at the dive sites around Koh Phangan remains thoroughly pleasant. Not a lot of team news from the diving school; we seem to be eating a lot of meals out & generally living a more easy life....
