Chaloklum/Koh Phangan Scuba Diving update, October 2012.

Paulina plus fish at Sail Rock, Sept 2012Post full moon party on Koh Phangan & a quiet month beckons; a great chance to get really personal Padi courses & enjoy peaceful dive sites! Sail Rock is still offering excellent scuba diving conditions & 2 days ago a fairly big whale shark, of the 5-6 metre variety made an appearance! Our last diving & snorkelling trip to Koh Tao was also fine, but we’re once again awaiting an update on conditions at the Marine Park.

Not a lot of team news from the diving school, but we still seem to be eating out a lot & generally living the easy life so cannot complain! We had a particularly fine meal last night at Nong Nook Seafood as a farewell to Heinz & Angie, who have to pull themselves away from the island tomorrow. Michi’s just started on an Austrian Open Water Diver Course, & with DM-to-be Mark along for the dives they are sure to have fun! & we’ll probably be sending the dive boat in for its annual overhaul later this month as things quieten down; more to follow…

Please check out our u/w photos in the Marine Life Guide & give us some feedback. As it’s quieter now, Nick should be spending more time in the dive centre slaving over a hot computer (suffer boy, suffer), filling out the text & uploading more & better photos. Check out the RSS feeds if you want to keep updated.

The Very Best of Wishes from Chaloklum Diving.
