As ever at this time of year the issue is to make some diving trips to somewhere other than Sail Rock. OK, it does offer the best diving in the area, the dive site’s not at all busy, plus there’s a chance of a whale shark sighting, but still it’s good to go somewhere different for a change. We’re waiting for the Marine Park to clear up, so it’s Koh Tao or a 3 Dive Special next; please contact us at the diving school if you’re on Koh Phangan & interested…
The team news is that there are not so many of us around the dive centre, there’s not a vast amount happening & we’re already starting to look forward to a bit more action in June. Cris is off on a mini-liveaboard for the next few days – we do hope the vis is better for you in Koh Tao, Ms. Darknana! Mr G’s finishing off a Padi Open Water Diver course today, & shock horror! ..also on the dive boat is Mr Wendling himself with 2 fun divers.
We were sorry to hear of the death of Neville Coleman earlier this month. He was part of the inspiration for our Marine Life Guide, although he took on the amazing task of photographing & cataloguing the marine life around Australia! He will be particularly missed by the nudibranch afficianados amongst us. RIP.
The Best of Wishes from Chaloklum Diving.
